At Large is the web site of Ralph Mills and Lenore Ogilvy

Ralph Mills and Lenore Ogilvy are at large in the world

At Large is being updated!

NEW

April 2012

Out with the old (well, to the dusty archives anyway) and in with the new!

Revised and new sections of At Large are going live, bit by bit. In the meantime, apologies if you came looking for something that has vanished, and for the hopefully shrinking but vast number of non-functioning links. Normal, upgraded, service will be resumed....er...well...as soon as possible. I've also changed the site title a little to reflect the balance of content. You'll still find a mix of old and new, but the amount of old is getting smaller all the time.

Here's what's live at the moment:

Ralph At Large
A brief survey of Ralph's experiences in field archaeology and a scatter of places.
Fires of Prometheus
Ralph's industrial and historical archaeology pages.
Allotment 45
For five years we've been growing vegetables on plot 45 at Whitemoor Allotments, Nottingham. Here you can see how we've managed since the very first day right up until the latest I've remembered to update it!
At Large in the great outdoors
The beginning of the update of our walking and cycling activities.
365
Ralph took a photograph every day of 2003. This is a month by month presentation of those images.
Waterways
The launch of a section that focuses on Ralph's keen interest in canals.
Winter on the Nottingham Canal
A stroll on a gloomy winter afternoon.
Snakes and turtles
June 26th 2011: We made the most of one of the warmest days of the year by walking along the towpath of the long-disused Nottingham Canal, and spotted some unexpected fauna!
