...After the hottest and driest April ever, scorched earth? It's all a bit scary really. Let's hope we have a wet and miserable May to make up for it!

All the potatoes and onions are in, and things are beginning to sprout up everywhere, including the weeds! The foreground, covered temporarily to check weed growth, will soon be populated by courgettes, cucumbers and pumpkins. The right hand corner will be planted with sweetcorn. On the left side will be the cabbage patch. Herbs in front of the brick shed, beans beyond the old wooden shed (soon to be demolished). All very exciting (especially for the slugs and snails).
