Week 1

Thru Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Nevada to Arizona and California

We drove through four states to reach Arizona, where we rejoiced to be sleeping in a warm climate. After three days (and a night) of driving, we soaked up the sun for two days before heading into California to explore Josha Tree National Park.

This, of course, was a week of firsts: elk, lizards, sunburns, burros, new states, flowering cacti, Joshua trees, and being passed by semis and Greyhounds.
