Week 3 |
Lake Havasu to Phoenix, through Tonto National Forest to Superior |

We are pretty picky about where we camp. I differentiate between campgrounds (which offer amenities and sites) and campsites (which is the patch of ground a camper calls "home"). We like campgrounds with character, and we estimate the fairness of fees according to the amenities provided. We like sites that are sheltered from prying eyes, while providing sunshine and shade at the same time. This week is a good introduction to our approach to choosing where we sleep.
This was a week of scenic views, hairy drives, shopping and rest. I had a good time!
