Newfoundland

Week 21

from east to west

1938 km

We loved Newfoundland. The tuckamore (trees stunted by wind), the rocky landscape, the outports with all their color and charm, fossils and fjords. There are too many trees on the island (did you know timber is harvested on the isle?)--driving the Trans Canada is a bore. This week we spent some time with lots of different people, and we discovered we could still hold up our end of a conversation.

Gateway to week 22:
Day 148: Good timing
Day 149: Compuserve, fossils, hitch-hikers & fjords
Day 150: Newfie hospitality
Day 151: Vikings
Day 152: Apparently, I am wrong
Day 153: Exploring the outports
Day 154: Lost in the dark
