Two At Large -- Work

RALPH

Over the years, Ralph's working life (he can't honestly call it a career) has been one of zig-zags and circles and dead-ends. That such a course needn't be disastrous is demonstrated by the fact that he is still alive and still earning a dollar or two here and there. Of course it means that he is also far from wealthy other than in experience, which is actually, in his opinion, not a bad thing.

That experience has included a lot of archaeology, plenty of writing, research and editing, some training and teaching and a few other activities such as sales and, for a few weeks, working as a cleaner and a filing clerk for the DHSS (he doesn't include those jobs on his cv). He's even worked as a webmaster.

At present he is a freelance writer, mostly of corporate communications feature articles, but willing to take on most sorts of stuff. But who knows what might be next?
